The news that Kobus de Kock Junior has passed on and I am saddened to the Bones.
It’s been a testing year and I think everyone agrees with that. I am yet to meet someone who has enjoyed 2023 thus far. It feels like the world has gone a bit mad and the news of Kobus hits harden than most.
Black Cat Bones were that band that were everywhere at a stage. I have fond memories of listening to the bands with our go-to musos, John and Leilani. Kobus had a sophisticated growl to him, an educated brute to himself and his approach to music.
In a world gone mad, a difficult month emotionally, this one sucks.
